Aaron Rodgers is accountable for the Packers’ loss on Thursday night, as the Packers’ already dismal season reached a new low.
Green Bay suffered a 27-17 loss against the Tennessee Titans on Thursday Night Football, dropping their record to 4-7. After the game, Rodgers, who completed 24 of 39 passes for 227 yards and two touchdowns, said he needed to play better.
Rodgers told reporters he must throw the ball more effectively than he did tonight. “We have little margin for mistake, especially against a squad that affords us opportunities.” We must produce those plays.”
Throughout the game, Rodgers missed a lot of passes, particularly in the fourth quarter. With less than ten minutes remaining and facing a third down, Rodgers had Sammy Watkins wide open on a crossing pattern in the center of the field, but he overthrew him, resulting in a punt for Green Bay.
Rodgers had Allen Lazard running free down the left sideline on third down of the subsequent drive, but he airmailed another pass, forcing a fourth down try. On that play, he targeted Lazard again, but there looked to be a miscommunication, as the Packers lost possession of the ball on downs.

When asked if his thumb ailment had a role in his missed passes, Rodgers pushed back somewhat.
Rodgers stated, “I couldn’t tell you or point to anything.” “I will not make any explanations for my thumb. It has remained unchanged since New York. I’m not sure. I need to return and examine it.
“I felt like I was essentially in a terrific position. I just did not have the same sort of consistent grip, and the ball did not come out in the same manner. Tonight, I threw a large quantity of wobblers. There was wind present. I just missed a couple throws that I should have made. Unquestionably the one to Sammy and Allen.”

Some believed that the Packers’ Week 10 overtime victory over the Cowboys was a turning point in their season. In that game, rookie wide receiver Christian Watson exploded for three touchdowns, and Green Bay’s passing offense seemed stronger than it had all season. Watson scored both touchdowns on Thursday night, but he only had two grabs.
On Thursday night, however, the team appeared to return to its early-season troubles. The Packers are currently five games behind in the NFC North and might tie for last place if the Bears and Lions both win this weekend.
