Ron Faber, the actor known for his role in the horror movie The Exorcist, has died at the age of 90 following a battle with lung cancer.
The news of his passing was announced by his friend David Patrick Kelly via Facebook, who described Faber as “a great artist and gentleman with a wonderful voice and laugh”.
Faber was a founding member of Joe Chaikin’s Open Theatre, which was known for its avant-garde approach and influenced many others.
Faber’s most iconic role was that of Chuck in the 1973 classic horror film The Exorcist.
In the film, he delivered one of the most memorable lines in cinema history, informing Ellen Burstyn’s character Chris MacNeil that film director Burke Dennings had been found dead.
