Authorities in Nigeria’s Northeastern State of Adamawa took a significant step on Sunday to tackle the widespread looting of food stores in the state capital, Yola.
The situation had escalated to hundreds of residents breaking into both public and private warehouses, plundering grains and other essential commodities.
Looting Amidst Economic Struggles
The gravity of the situation prompted NEMA to alert all its warehouses across the country to prevent possible looting.
