Allen’s are officially hiring their very own ‘lolly testers’ as hundreds of sugar lovers race to apply.
The confectionary brand put a call out to all Aussies with a sweet tooth last month, with applications to close on Friday.
While taste testers won’t be paid they will be given a huge supply of free lollies and must be aged 18 or over.
The online application form crashed over the weekend with Allen’s confirming they were experiencing ‘technical difficulties’ from the mass of Aussies wanting to sign up.
Applicants are asked their personal details, if they have any allergies and their favorite Lollie.
Allen’s spokeswoman Joyce Tan said the role was the ‘best job in the world’ for Lollie lovers.
‘It will be a combination of old favorites so we continue to make sure people love our products, but also new products that we’ve put out on the market to make sure we’ve hit the mark with our new ones as well,’ she told Seven News.
‘People can really control the future of lollies.’
In more good news for chocolate lovers, KitKat will start looking for taste testers this week.
