ANC party officials warned against crime and corruption by Ramaphosa

THE PEOPLE’S ENEMY IS CORRUPTION “The people’s enemy is corruption. It needs to be fought off and vanquished.

Ramaphosa added, “This means our movement must adopt a robust position against corruption within its ranks.

Any ANC leaders found guilty of corruption or other crimes will be punished under both party rules and the law, Ramaphosa warns.

No exceptions are possible, he stated.

He said that the party had reiterated the step-aside rule at its 55th ANC National Conference in December in order to combat corruption among its ranks.

Ramaphosa stated that the ANC’s disciplinary structures and procedures as well as the Integrity Commission were being strengthened.

According to him, the ANC demands that the Commission of Inquiry on State Capture’s recommendations be put into action as soon as possible.

He argued that corrupt authorities must be looked into and brought to justice.

This is in addition to the ANC’s pledge to carry out the recommendations of the panel that are pertinent to the organization.

The party should make sure that state capture never occurs again, according to Cyril Ramaphosa Ramaphosa.

He assured his followers that he would create a free-standing anti-corruption organization.

The capability of law enforcement agencies and other criminal justice institutions, which have been degraded by state capture and corruption, must be rebuilt, according to Ramaphosa.

“We urge residents and local governments to work together with law enforcement to build safer and more secure neighborhoods.

He said that in areas with active Community Policing Forums (CPF), crime had decreased.

“The ANC calls on and directs the government to take immediate action to strengthen the capacity of law enforcement agencies to combat crime by expanding the number of police officers to match the growth in our nation’s population.”
