Apple’s first launch event since the coronavirus epidemic is Wednesday

On Wednesday, Apple is anticipated to hold its first in-person product launch event since before the coronavirus outbreak to introduce the 14th series of its recognisable and popular iPhone.

The new iterations of Apple watches, AirPods, and other upgraded models of its products are also anticipated, according to industry observers.
This year, consumers will likely pay more attention to costs in addition to technological advancements since inflation is now close to four-decade highs.

People were scoffing at the hefty price tags for cellphones with enhancements that don’t appeal to owners of newer models even before the epidemic, when the economy was thriving.
Apple debuted the second-generation iPhone SE in April 2020 for as little as $399, a 40% price cut from the most inexpensive iPhone 11 announced the previous year, just as the pandemic was wrecking the U.S. economy.
Analysts are unsure whether customers would wait a bit longer to replace phones or forego the headphones that may run as much as filling up their petrol tanks each month as 9% inflation continues to pound American family finances.

Pricing is an important watch-point in a challenging macroeconomic environment that includes inflationary pressures and a slowdown in consumer spending, but JPMorgan analysts think it matters more for wearables since they are seen as more discretionary choices by consumers than iPhones.
An expanded mini?
The firm will likely offer upgrades to AirPods, HomePod mini, and Apple TV in addition to the iPhone 14 family of devices, according to Morgan Stanley analyst Erik Woodring.

JPMorgan analysts anticipate a significant increase in the iPhone mini’s screen size, the release of a new, more robust Apple Watch Pro, and improved AirPods pro audio.
Starting at 10 a.m. local time, the event will be webcast from Apple’s headquarters in Cupertino, California.
