Ashley Du Preez began well, but he has had trouble with injuries and has missed much too many opportunities to score. Last but not least, Keagan Dolly also had a fantastic start to the season but has continued in the same vein as his teammates by wasting opportunities to score when it counts.
In 18 games, Dolly has four goals and two assists, however the most of these came early in the season.

Amakhosi is therefore in severe need of a striker who can convert all of his teammates’ opportunities. As the season goes on, Wandile Duba and Mduduzi Shabalala might possibly get more playing time. Who knows, perhaps they hold the key. To put that much pressure on kids just starting their careers is unreasonable.
Samkelo Zwane has been mentioned in relation to rising young stars; she is expected to take Njabulo Blom’s place. Zwane is looking for a defensive midfielder because he requires backup but he also needs it.
