Balwin Obtains Court Interdict against Protesters, Urges Residents to Engage with Eskom
CEO Steve Brookes of Balwin Properties released a statement emphasizing that residents should direct their anger towards Eskom rather than blaming the property developer.
The statement highlighted that a small group of individuals unlawfully assembled at the Munyaka gatehouse and impeded access to and from the estate.
Despite Balwin’s efforts to explain that the root cause of the issue lies with Eskom’s infrastructure, the protesters disregarded their explanation and made unreasonable demands.
As a result, Balwin properties sought and obtained an urgent interdict to halt the residents’ protest activities.
Brookes urged all residents to unite and voice their frustrations directly to Eskom, emphasizing the importance of identifying faults and promptly resolving them.
