During Tuesday morning’s episode of BBC Breakfast, presenters Sally Nugent and Jon Kay spoke to Lara Lewington, who had gone to meet Bryan Johnson, a millionaire entrepreneur on a quest to find eternal youth.
Bryan has spent $2 million a year on a team of doctors to try and reverse his body’s aging process in hopes of living forever.
Although the segment was light-hearted and entertaining, many viewers were annoyed that it was being shown and threatened to turn over.
Viewers React Negatively on Twitter
Viewers took to Twitter to express their annoyance, with some calling the segment a “waste of time” and others calling Bryan a “rich, deluded fool”.
One viewer wrote, “HAD TO TURN THE MUPPET SHOW OFF THIS MORNING!” Another added, “Why are you wasting time on this…Stop speaking about him with such glee and enthusiasm.
What a waste of time for you and us.
And a huge waste of money by him.
Pathetic.”
