South African viewers have finally been afforded an extra option to take in the Beijing 2022 Olympics with Showmax Pro’s offering.
Rights holder SuperSport has granted the platform permission to stream daily live coverage of the spectacular Winter Olympics and also highlights.

With 109 events, seven sports and 15 disciplines, viewers can indeed look forward to an action-packed multi-sport competition with daily live coverage starting today and ending on Sunday, 20 February 2022.
Furthermore this prestigious event will feature some of the biggest names in winter sports. Namely, Mikaela Shiffrin (Alpine skiing), Suzanne Schulting (short track speed skating), in addition to the Canadian ice hockey team, Chloe Kim (snowboarding) and Natalie Geisenberge (luge), who are all set to compete in China across a range of venues. Showmax Pro viewers will subsequently get to witness the much-anticipated opening and closing ceremonies taking place at the Beijing National Stadium, the famous Bird’s Nest.
There won’t be a Team South Africa at the games but Africa will make its presence felt in Beijing.
Viewers will also get to watch six athletes from five African countries. Eritrea, Ghana, Madagascar, Morocco and Nigeria all compete in Alpine skiing and cross-country events at the Winter Olympics.
