Bird flu: latest pandemic in England

December 22, 2022

On October 14, 2022, a mixed flock of confined birds at a location close to Leigh Sinton, Malvern Hills, Worcestershire, tested positive for highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 (AIV 2022/120). The captive bird regulated zone has been abolished after disease control efforts and surveillance in the area were completed successfully.
