Boxer Ebanie Bridges has shared that she earned a whopping £250,000 for simply creating an OnlyFans account before rising to become a top 0.01% earner on the platform.
The 36-year-old, who is also the IBF Bantamweight world champion, had previously shunned the idea of joining the content subscription service due to her desire to go back into teaching.
But after joining the platform, she made a fortune, receiving £250,000 just to start her account.
Bridges noted that she was the first female boxer to join OnlyFans, but that she was quickly joined by others, including Mikaela Mayer, Siniesa Estrada, Devin Haney, Derek Chisora and Andy Ruiz.
In an interview with The Daily Telegraph in Australia, Bridges explained that her content on the platform is “everyday stuff” that she would typically post on social media, but that she chose to make the switch in order to get paid.
She also mentioned that the paycheques she receives from boxing twice a year “amount to nothing” compared to what she earns on OnlyFans.
Bridges explained that some subscribers are “freaks” who want to buy her dirty socks and bathwater and that others are her “paypigs” who cover her bills.
Bridges further explained that OnlyFans knew that she was a pioneer, and that if she joined, others would follow, which is what has happened.
She also highlighted that OnlyFans is moving away from being a platform for pornographic content.
Bridges’ switch to OnlyFans has been met with mixed reactions, with some praising her for her business acumen, while others have criticised her for joining the platform.
Despite her financial security, Bridges is not planning to retire from boxing any time soon.
She has won four times since her debut on the UK boxing scene, and is targeting a return to the ring this summer, having undergone surgery following her December victory.
