Michael Capiraso, death 60, was a passenger on BA Flight 178 from JFK Airport, New York, to London Heathrow when he filmed the moment the flight received the tragic news of the Queen’s passing.
Mr. Capiraso, from New York, who submitted the footage to social media, told MailOnline: ‘It was so bizarre, while travelling to the UK to take our daughter to the University of Edinburgh, to hear the news of the Queen’s passing from the captain and to witness the emotions of the flight crew and passengers.
I will never forget that moment.
In the footage, the pilot can be heard saying, “Elizabeth, the Queen, died away earlier today with her family by her side. At this time, we have little other information.”
