AlphaBay, a major online black market for drugs, was taken down in a police sting operation six years ago.
However, it has now returned and is teeming with British dealers.
The marketplace is only accessible through the Tor network and operates using Bitcoin, allowing users to trade contraband anonymously.
The site boasts almost 40,000 illicit products, including prescription painkillers, cannabis, ecstasy, and pure cocaine.
The Daily Star Sunday discovered that UK vendors are selling stolen credit cards, personal details, fake British passports, and even guides on how to produce drugs like heroin.
British dealers are reportedly using AlphaBay as the biggest online drug marketplace because they feel secure trading there.
One Manchester-based seller commented that only the major dealers were targeted, and the worst that could happen was the site’s closure, which would only result in the loss of any Bitcoin tied up in the venture.
AlphaBay was created by Canadian computer expert Alexandre Cazes, who lived in luxury in Thailand with three homes and four high-end sports cars.
