Bruce Lehrmann’s alleged rape of Brittany Higgins has been dismissed from trial.
On Thursday morning, Chief Justice Lucy McCallum informed the jury, ‘It has come to my aware that one of you has conducted study on the case’s concerns, and that material improperly entered the jury room.
“I have heard an explanation, and it is possible that no harm has been done, but I cannot take that risk. I have dismissed the juror and must dismiss you all.

Brittany Higgins has made her first court appearance since testifying in the trial of her alleged rapist.
Bruce Lehrmann has pled not guilty to a single count of sexual contact without consent and is currently awaiting trial.
He has always rejected the allegations that he raped Ms. Higgins during a night out in March 2019 while intoxicated.
The jury has now deliberated for seven days.
The case is before Justice Lucy McCallum of the ACT Supreme Court.
