On Monday, Heming revealed that she was working with dementia specialist Teepa Snow as Willis continues his uphill battle. She praised the help she’s received from the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration and said that she’s grateful she had the opportunity to work with Snow, who has helped her add to her dementia care toolbox.
Last month, Willis’ family revealed in a lengthy statement that his condition has worsened. The statement, signed by Willis’ ex-wife, Demi Moore, his current wife, Emma Heming, and all five of his daughters, said that Willis’ initial aphasia diagnosis indicated that he would struggle to speak, write and understand language, both verbal and written.
Months after that diagnosis, Heming shared that she was grappling with “paralyzing” grief. She wrote that she’s learning how to live alongside it and shared wisdom from Willis’ 31-year-old daughter Scout, who said that “grief is the deepest and purest form of love.”
