After letting players like Samir Nurkovic, Lazalous Kambole, and Leonardo Castro go, Chiefs have only really increased their strike-power with the addition of Ashley Du Preez since the end of the previous season.
Wayde Lekay, Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana, and Musa Kamara, who were “on trial” at the team camp, reportedly caught the attention of the club.
Despite the fact that Chiefs appear to be searching for a pure striker, Lekay is reportedly no longer in their plans.
However, according to iDiski Times, the club administration has been extremely impressed with Bimenyimana.
Insider sources have reportedly told KickOff.com that the club has really started negotiations with Bimenyimana’s representation in the aim of coming to an agreement.
The skilled striker, who has previously played in Kazakhstan, Slovakia, Lithuania, Latvia, and Rwanda, reportedly had a fruitful meeting on Saturday afternoon, and a respectable deal appears to be in the works.
It was previously reported that Chiefs had made a bid for highly regarded Kobamelo Kodisang, but Braga SC ultimately rejected it.
Kodisang was reportedly set to spend the 2022–23 season on loan at Desportivo de Chaves in the Portuguese Premier League, with an option to make the move permanent after that.
The deal with Chaves has since collapsed, according to rumors from Portugal that surfaced only last weekend, and the promising 22-year-old is planning to return to Brava.
With that in mind, it is unclear if Chiefs would now think about submitting a new offer in an effort to entice Kodisang to Naturena before the start of the upcoming season.
Chiefs may be content with their options and be less likely to return to the negotiation table for Kodisang if they think Bimenyimana best meets their needs.
