Veteran Nigerian entertainer, Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, has expressed his strong disapproval of the proposed military invasion of Niger Republic.

The President of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu, had recently briefed the National Assembly about the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS)’s plan for military action and other penalties against the coup plotters in Niger Republic.

Charly Boy believes that going to war with such a population would have significant ramifications, potentially leading to instability and further conflict in the region.

He urges the APC and the Nigerian government to prioritize peaceful dialogue and diplomatic solutions to regional issues rather than resorting to armed conflict.
