The Lagos State chapter chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Stephen Adegbite, expressed his support for the federal government’s decision to remove fuel subsidy in Nigeria.

Despite acknowledging the current hardships faced by Nigerians, Adegbite believes that enduring this pain is necessary for the country’s long-term interests.

Acknowledging the recent protests by members of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) over the subsidy removal and rising cost of living, Adegbite called for calm and understanding, stating that the nation is already making progress.
