Christine Brown, star of TLC’s “Sister Wives,” informed Kody Brown’s three remaining wives that she was leaving him and going to Utah on Sunday’s episode, probably recorded in the spring of 2021.
The announcement was followed by a discussion about a custody agreement for Christine and Kody’s 12-year-old youngest daughter, Truely, and Christine expressed her views about the situation.
Christine responded to Kody’s second wife Janelle Brown’s inquiry regarding Truely “I believe Truely will be OK. Obviously, she’ll miss everyone, and it’s going to be difficult. Taking her from Kody is difficult. It is difficult, don’t get me wrong.”
Kody objected immediately to Christine’s wording. Oh no, he exclaimed, “you cannot take her from me.” “Because we will need to share custody. The split must be 50/50.”
Even though they had not yet discussed a custody agreement, he stated in a confessional interview that he could not allow Christine to divulge her plan without “objecting” to it.

The former lovers then battled about Christine’s intention to move in with Truely. Christine appeared to believe that Kody had accepted her decision to move to Utah, which they had discussed in previous episodes of this season, but Kody informed her that he “never said it was okay” with him.
Kody explained, “You never asked whether you could move; you simply stated that you were moving.”
He told Christine that she did not mention moving the first time she told him she was going. He stated that his acceptance of her decision to leave the marriage did not imply that she could “go with Truely and all of a sudden Truely would be out of my life.”

Sunday’s broadcast featured a candid interview in which Kody expressed his dissatisfaction with Christine. “From the start, she never asked me if it was okay if I didn’t remain at her house; she simply instructed me not to,” he stated. She relocated my belongings without asking my permission; she just did it.
He said, “She did not ask my permission before moving to Utah with Truely; she simply told me she was going to do it.” The couple announced in November 2021 that their “spiritual” marriage would terminate after more than 25 years.
As their talk proceeded, he informed Christine that she “cannot actually prevent” him from being a part of Truely’s life.
Christine hinted in a candid interview that she was not in favor of dividing her time with Truely evenly, while no specifics of a proposed visiting schedule were presented in the episode.

“Now that I’m going, it’s odd that he wants to be engaged in my children’s life. Now he desires equal time with them?” She stated, “He could have spent an equal amount of time with us the entire time we stayed here. If he desired a 50/50 split, he should have been more present.”
“He doesn’t get 50/50. He has not been around long enough “She said.
Christine’s announcement to Kody’s three wives and her argument with Kody over Truely occurred around the same time that the exes were arguing over Kody’s reluctance to visit their then-18-year-old daughter Ysabel at Christine’s home because she was returning to high school for her senior year in person.
Kody stated that Ysabel would be “fine” without seeing him during her senior year in the program aired on Sunday. The adolescent intended to relocate to North Carolina after graduation.
TLC airs new episodes of “Sister Wives” every Sunday at 10 p.m. ET.
