Just hours before he was arrested for raping her, a British father and daughter were spotted having a wild night together in a club in Greece.
Greek officials say that CCTV evidence from the bar establishes their case that the father, 62, engaged in ‘inappropriate sexual activity’ with his daughter, 33, when they were both very intoxicated in Malia, Crete’s popular vacation town.
After they left the pub in the early hours of the morning last Thursday, he is accused of rapping her in a lonely alleyway.
For legal reasons, the father and daughter cannot be identified, but he denies the allegations, and she stands by him, maintaining that he is “100% innocent.”
These stills appear to be taken from CCTV footage of the father and daughter, which looks to be inconclusive.
The clip was captured shortly before 4 a.m. last Thursday, according to MailOnline.
DNA evidence has been transferred to Athens for analysis, with Crete prosecutors conceding that dismissing the prosecution if the results reveal his innocence is not ruled out.
‘The final decision on if a trial will take place will be made by a panel of judges and the DNA results will obviously be important in this.’
The woman has sworn not to return to the UK until her father is released from captivity in Crete, where she was on vacation with him.
She told MailOnline earlier this week: ‘I can tell you 100% that he did not rape me. I was on holiday with him in Greece and he’s the best dad in the world.
‘There is no way he would do something so disgusting. I’ve told the Greek police this, but they are just ignoring me.
She added: ‘This is an incredibly stressful, traumatic situation but there is hope for us.
‘We’ve been told by the judge that if a DNA test clears him, then he will be free to go.’
