The 22-year-old woman’s decomposing bones were discovered in two bags in an apartment building in Brooklyn this morning. Neighbors had overheard her fighting with her boyfriend in the weeks before her disappearance.
The girl’s boyfriend, who is still at large, has not yet been given a name by the police.
In a cheap housing complex in East New York, Brooklyn, called Linwood Park Apartments, Apartment 6F contained the body.
The young lady who resided there, according to the nearby residents, was often overheard yelling at her boyfriend.
Before Wednesday’s neighbours were aware of a bad stench emanating from within the house, she had not been seen for a number of weeks.
Early on Thursday morning, someone phoned the police to ask for a welfare check, which is what led to the gruesome discovery.
No one is in arrest, according to an NYPD spokeswoman, despite the identification of a person of interest.
Police are now trying to find that individual.
The apartment complex accommodates recently released Rikers convicts in addition to 100 affordable housing apartments.
