Pastor Adeboye’s Bold Request and Addressing Rumors

During the annual Convention of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, the General Overseer, made a striking request that captured the attention of the congregation.

On Friday night at the Redemption City of God, he urged the attendees to join him in a prayer, requesting that God take his life before the next sunrise.

A Matter of Prayer Points: Adeboye’s Pronouncement

Stepping onto the podium to lead the congregation in prayer and share his sermon, Pastor Adeboye delved into a matter that had drawn his attention.

He highlighted that certain publications circulating on the internet contained allegations made by self-proclaimed prophets, clerics, and groups, suggesting that he engaged with demonic forces before his preaching and prophecies.

Confronting Rumors and Ensuring Clarity

While Pastor Adeboye typically would dismiss such rumors, he acknowledged a growing concern.

It dawned on him that even some of his own followers might have been influenced by these unfounded claims.

In response, he deemed it necessary to address these rumors head-on and seek resolution.

A Decisive Prayer to Settle the Matter

In an effort to put an end to the rumors and dispel any doubts within the hearts of his congregation, Pastor Adeboye called upon the attendees to unite in prayer.

He presented a direct and daring supplication: “If Pastor Adeboye has any link with any demonic powers, let him die before the sun rises.

But if he is using your power, multiply the powers by seven folds.”

Reflecting on Boldness and Faith

Pastor Adeboye’s request exemplified both his boldness in confronting allegations and his unwavering faith in the divine.

His intent was to eliminate any lingering doubts and offer clarity to those who looked up to him for spiritual guidance.

This episode serves as a testament to the complexities faced by religious leaders in the age of information proliferation, as they navigate both their roles as spiritual guides and the public’s perceptions of their practices and beliefs.
