Lisa Smith contacted the prosecution about a police report she had made in 2017 accusing that actor of raping her after learning about the assault case.
She asked authorities why the case hadn’t been pursued on CNN and was told they believed she wanted to remain anonymous and didn’t want to file charges.
Prior to the alleged assault, Smith says she had been acquainted with the actor for almost 15 years. She also claims that she had met her brother, Ratray, and another friend for drinks in New York before the claimed attack.

The next day, Smith revealed what had transpired to a friend, her sister, and one of her brothers before confronting Ratray through text.
He disputed the assault, so Smith filed a police complaint a few weeks later and met with a detective from the New York Police Department in Salt Lake City, who mistakenly indicated that she did not want to press charges.

She traveled from another state to be interrogated at the Manhattan District Attorney’s offices at the time of the occurrence, and she gave them the clothing she had on the night of the assault.
