Drake and 21 Savage announce October 28 release of new album

Drake and 21 Savage collaborated on the new album ‘Her Loss’.

Variety says that the album is planned to be released on Friday, October 28. The date and title were disclosed for the first time in the new music video for ‘Jimmy Cooks’, the duo’s duet on Drake’s four-month-old album “Honestly, Nevermind.”

After Drake revealed that the ‘Jimmy Cooks’ music video will be released on 21’s 30th birthday, Variety reports that online chatter regarding a joint album gained traction. In Atlanta, Drake also astonished fans by making an impromptu appearance during a 21 Savage concert.

Over the years, Drake and 21 Savage have collaborated frequently on songs such as “Knife Talk” from Drake’s album “Certified Lover Boy” and “Mr Right Now” from 21 and Metro Boomin’s album “Savage Mode II.” Additional songs include “Sneakin” and “Issa.”

According to Variety, in 2022, songs on which the two rappers were featured experienced tremendous consumption. Drake appears alongside Tems on Future’s “Wait For U” (3.1 million song equivalent units) and alongside 21 Savage and Project Pat on “Knife Talk” (which is closing in on 2 million song equivalent units).

This year, 21 Savage has amassed a multitude of features. He may be heard on “Wheelie” by Latto, “Surround Sound” by J.I.D., “R U That” by Shenseea, and “Cash In Cash Out” by Pharrell Williams and Tyler the Creator.
