Drake has the most nominations for the BET Hip Hop Awards 2022, with 14.
In multiple categories, including the coveted Hip Hop Artist of the Year, the 35-year-old rapper will compete against Kanye West, who has 10 nominations.
Drake and Kanye will face tight competition from Cardi B, Doja Cat, Future, Kendrick Lamar, and Megan Thee Stallion in this category.
“Hot S***,” a collaboration between Kanye West, Cardi, and Lil Durk, has been nominated for Best Hip Hop Video, but Drake has two chances to win in this category.
The video for his song “Way 2 Sexy,” which features Future and Young Thug, and Future’s song “Wait For U,” which features Drake and Tems, are recognized.
Drake and Kanye will also compete in the categories for Best Live Performer, Hustler of the Year, and Hip Hop Album of the Year.
Drake is nominated for “2Certified Lover Boy,” while Kanye is nominated for “Donda.” They will compete against “777” by Latto, “I Never Liked You” by Future, “It’s Almost Dry” by Pusha T, “King’s Disease II” by Nas, and “Mr. The Big Steppers and Morale.”
In addition to Kanye and Drake, 42 Dugg and Est Gee, Big Sean and Hit-Boy, Birdman and Youngboy Never Broke Again, Blxst and Bino Rideaux, DaBaby and Youngboy Never Broke Again, Erthgang, and Styles P and Havoc will compete in the Best Duo or Group category.
ATL Jacob, Baby Keem, Hit-Boy, Hitmaka, Kanye, Metro Boomin, and Pharrell Williams all compete for Producer of the Year.
This year’s ceremony will take place on September 30 at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center in Atlanta, Georgia, and will air on television on October 4.
