On Wednesday, former child actors Drew Barrymore and Corey Feldman reunited for the first time in almost two decades.
On “The Drew Barrymore Show,” the actress and the “Stand by Me” star, who briefly dated as teenagers, caught up.
“How long have we not seen each other?”
47-year-old Barrymore questioned her talk show guest.
“Twenty-five,” Feldman, 51, responded.
The “Scream” actor subsequently requested that the musician “reboot her memory” on their first date.
“We received a call from Steven Spielberg’s office, and the young girl from “E.T.” wants to meet you because she has a crush on you,” he recounted.

“Oh yes, I did, as did everyone else,” Barrymore responded.
“I loved you as an actor and a person, but what drew me to you as a person was your lack of ego,” she concluded. “We were surrounded by so many pleasant people, but many of them succumbed to self-indulgence, whereas you did not.”
The “Gremlins” actor continued describing their first outing together, during which Barrymore’s mother asked if they might “get together and have a little play date.”
“Of course, neither of us drove because I was still living with my grandparents and you were living with your mother,” Feldman explained, noting that he was 12 or 13 and Barrymore was 10 at the time.
“We were literally children. It was adorable. I recall accompanying you to the movies… It was the movie theater adjacent to the parking lot of Gelson’s. Therefore, we parked at the Gelson’s, strolled across the street, and I held your hand as you extended it to me.
Feldman revealed that he brought Barrymore to the movies when they were children
“We simply remained friends, and it took years before we began dating,” he explained.
Then, Barrymore asked her ex if he remembered attending the 1989 Academy Awards with them as teenagers.
She recalled, “I remembered you were going, so I was lucky to be your date, and I threw on a cotton Betsey Johnson dress off the rack.”
“I recall arriving and seeing individuals dressed in such nice attire… “and looking around while thinking, “Oh, I’m so poorly dressed!””
She went on to describe Feldman as a “positive” impact on her.
“We had the type of relationship that people refer to when they say, ‘Date your friends,’” she explained.
“You were such a secure haven for me, and we were always with your pals… It was a very significant location for me, and the memories are so clear.”
The “Goonies” actor has been married three times: from 1989 to 1993 to Vanessa Marcil, from 2002 to 2014 to Susie Sprague, and in 2016 to Courtney Anne Mitchell.
The “50 First Dates” actress has also been married three times: from 1994 to 1995 to Jeremy Thomas, from 2001 to 2002 to Tom Green, and from 2012 to 2016 to Will Kopelman.
She and her 44-year-old husband, Kopelman, have two children: Olive, 10, and Frankie, 8.
