Issa Rae blasted Hollywood for trying to salvage “their movie and them” and accused star Ezra Miller of “behaving atrociously.”
According to Rae, what’s going on with Ezra Miller is a microcosm of Hollywood.
She said, “There’s this individual who’s a serial offender, who’s been acting atrociously, and instead of shutting them down and closing down the production, there’s an attempt to rescue the movie and them.
“That is a strong illustration of how far Hollywood will go to protect perpetrators and rescue itself.”
If Hollywood stops shielding “serial offenders,” according to Rae, “women may be able to prosper” in the industry.
They won’t have to worry about remaining quiet ruining their jobs, Rae added. It’s basically a pattern of abuse that keeps happening and will keep happening as long as Hollywood insists on acting in this manner.
Miller has been charged of many crimes of abuse, disorderly conduct, and burglary since 2019. In 2022, they were detained once in Vermont and again in Hawaii.
A pal of the actor previously claimed to Vanity Fair that Miller “belittles” and “screams at” his female sexual partners.
