According to the story, Baldwin has been charged with two counts of involuntary manslaughter. In October 2021, on the set of the film Rust, the actor was holding the revolver that tragically murdered cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and injured director Joel Souza.
Despite the breaking national news, The View viewers couldn’t care less about the special report or Baldwin. Instead, they rushed to Twitter to criticize ABC for not withholding the allegations until the end of today’s broadcast.
One user said, “Why in the hell did they interrupt #TheView with breaking news about Alec Baldwin?”
Another pointed out, “Did ABC really just interrupt #TheView with “Breaking News” about Alec Baldwin’s movie set shooting? This could have been delayed till noon.”

It’s fortunate that Whoopi Goldberg and Sunny Hostin were absent from today’s broadcast; we can only think how angry fans would have been if they hadn’t heard what they had to say.
