In broad daylight earlier this week, a FedEx employee in Brooklyn was robbed of an expensive box by a burglar from Brooklyn, authorities said Wednesday.
The package, which included an iPhone 12 pro, was snatched from the deliveryman’s hand at 1:30 p.m. on Monday in front of a home on East 1st Street in Gravesend, New Jersey, according to authorities. The premium Apple gadget is approximately $1,000, according to police.
During the heist, the suspect threatened to harm the 53-year-old victim, but no injuries were reported, according to police.
According to the NYPD, the male suspect is approximately 20 years old, has a skinny build, and is about 5 feet tall.
The police released photographs of the suspect as well as security footage of the suspect interacting with the victim, who was sitting on steps in front of a house, while the suspect was on the sidewalk.
The last time the thief was seen, he was wearing a light green sweatshirt, a dark jacket, and light pants. In addition, he wore white sneakers and a black cap.
