A cruel Florida guy reportedly stormed into a home, stole a hat, and used a machete to kill the family dog.
Alexander Hernandez-Delgado, age 25, has been charged with aggravated animal abuse with a firearm and armed burglary in connection with the Thursday house invasion on Wheeler Road in Dover.
He reportedly entered the residence through an unlocked living room door, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, as reported by the Tampa Bay Times.
The burglar reportedly helped himself to the family’s supper about 7 p.m. and then continued to dump their belongings around the house, according to officials.
The homeowner reported seeing the suspect leave the residence while wearing a stolen hat.
According to the article, police subsequently discovered the horrifying discovery that the family’s dog had been stabbed with a machete and put in a cage near the living room entrance.
Hernandez-Delgado was located by deputies at a neighboring Dollar General, where he acknowledged to being inside the residence.

The homeless defendant was charged with petty theft in addition to burglary and cruelty and was detained on $50,000 bail.
According to WEAR-TV, Sheriff Chad Chronister stated, “I have zero tolerance for any form of abuse.”
“Regrettably, this is not the only instance of animal abuse we’ve witnessed in recent memory. I cannot emphasize more how crucial it is to me that these people be charged,” he stated.
Sheriff noted that the beast has a history of aggressive conduct, making it imperative that he be held accountable so that he cannot continue to damage innocent people and animals.
