Former Bayelsa State Chief Judge, Justice Kate Abiri, Passes Away at 65

Justice Kate Abiri, the immediate past chief judge of Bayelsa State, has sadly passed away at the age of 65.

The news of her demise was confirmed in a statement issued by the Chief Registrar at the State Judiciary Headquarters, High Court, Amaebi Orukari, in Yenagoa.

At the time of her death, she held the position of the immediate past Chief Judge of Bayelsa State.

On January 13, 2023, Justice Abiri retired from her role as chief judge, having reached the mandatory retirement age of 65 after a remarkable tenure.
