Former Governor of Zamfara State, Senator Abdulaziz Abubakar Yari, has conveyed his commitment to promoting unity and cooperation for the advancement of Nigeria if he is selected as the President of the 10th Senate.
This assurance was expressed by Yari during a special victory dinner organized to honor the 109 senators-elect of the 10th assembly.
The event, titled ‘Unity and Reconciliation, Setting the Agenda for the 10th Assembly,’ was jointly hosted by the Conference of All Support Groups (CASG-N) of Nigeria and The Tinubu Shettima Network (TSN).
In his statement, Yari emphasized the importance of working harmoniously for the betterment of Nigeria.
He pledged to collaborate closely with the executive branch, expressing his gratitude to the organizations supporting his candidacy for Senate President.
Yari regarded their support as integral to the realization of a better Nigeria.
Additionally, Yari demonstrated his unwavering belief in the unity of Nigeria, praising the country and its people.
He described Nigeria as a wonderful nation with exceptional citizens, further emphasizing his commitment to fostering unity and cooperation among its diverse populace.
During the event, Engr. Kailani Muhammad, the National Chairman of TSN and Coordinator of CASG-N, also spoke about the gathering’s significance in showcasing Nigerian unity despite differing backgrounds.
He expressed his belief that the event exemplified Nigeria’s capacity to unify at any given time, regardless of its diversity.
