According to officials, a Georgia woman intentionally drove her vehicle into a Popeyes restaurant after biscuits were mistakenly left out of her order.
Belinda H. Miller, aged 50, has been charged with first-degree criminal damage to property and aggravated assault.
Deputies from the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of an accident with injuries at the Popeyes location in Augusta.
The store manager informed the police that Miller became upset after discovering that her order had no biscuits and proceeded to drive her SUV into the restaurant entrance.
The manager reported that the mistake was rectified, and the biscuits were given to Miller before the crash occurred.
Before the incident, the woman had threatened the staff, including calling the store and threatening to drive her car into the building.
According to arrest warrants, Miller almost hit an 18-year-old employee with her vehicle as she crashed into the store, and she continued to drive into the store until debris stopped her vehicle.
After the crash, the woman fled the scene and drove south on Gordon Highway.
Her SUV was found at her home later, with damage to the front. Miller was taken into custody and booked at the Charles B. Webster Detention Center in Georgia.
She was granted a bond of over $4,000 on Wednesday, although it is unclear if she is still in custody.
