Bonko Khoza has been experiencing the perks of superstardom since joining the cast of Showmax’s The Wife as Mqhele Zulu.
The Johannesburg-born actor was recently spotted in a Durban restaurant, where he may have pushed his newfound celebrity a little too far.
Khoza paused on his approach to his table to meet a group of women who were engrossed in their meal.
Before heading to his own table, the actor casually seized one woman’s fork and helped himself to a mouthful of her lunch.
Tweeps were of course quick to comment, questioning why Khoza would use someone else’s fork during a global pandemic…not to mention nibbling on the unsuspecting fan’s food!
BONKO KHOZA HELPS HIMSELF TO A FAN’S MEAL
Eden Garden is a luxurious restaurant in the heart of Durban. The restaurant offers music, stunning views, a “fashionable crowd” and an amazing vibe.
The Wife’s Bonko Khoza visited Eden on Sunday 20 February for a day out with some friends. The 31-year-old actor received a warm welcome as he entered the restaurant.
When Khoza stopped to greet a table of women, he decided to grab a bite out of one woman’s hearty meal before making his way to his table.
A tweep shared the video on Twitter and captioned it: “You can’t make this sh*t up.”
In another clip, Khoza asked the woman if he could try some of her food because he was “so hungry”.

‘STILL CAN’T BELIEVE IT’
Reacting to the video, tweeps were in awe that the star actor would use someone else’s utensils to eat THEIR food. One tweep wrote: “I’ve watched this a hundred times. Still can’t believe it. He’s unhinged, I’m afraid.”
“I’d throw hands. A stranger eating off my plate?”
“I’d actually cause a scene. What the hell? In a pandemic?”
