Her new hairstyle attracted many glances, but for all the wrong reasons.
Luisa Kamei, a 19-year-old Brazilian model, was transformed into a “monster” due to an allergic reaction to hair dye.
The influencer, who has over 13,400 followers, claims her face was “disfigured” and she was unable to see out of one eye after the explosion.
“On December 16, I made the decision to colour my hair, something I’ve been doing for years,” she stated in an Instagram post. “I’ve never had such a response.”
According to the girl, two days after dying her hair, she awoke to a startling sight: “liquid coming out” of her scalp.
“The next day, my face was so swollen that I was unable to open one of my eyes,” she recalled.
Kamei said, “When I glanced in the mirror, all I could do was cry.” “I felt like a monster.”
Concerned about the rising swelling, the model visited the doctor, who informed her that if she had waited any longer to seek medical assistance, the allergic response may have been more severe.
“People with delicate skin are extremely susceptible to hair dye allergies,” she noted. Hair loss and scalp injuries are examples of allergic reactions.
“A more severe allergic reaction may produce facial swelling and redness, trouble breathing, and even a severe, whole-body allergic reaction,” Kamei explained. That is what occurred to me.
Kamei cautioned her followers that the 48-hour allergy testing recommended by manufacturers are not always sufficient to prevent allergic reactions.
“Today, however, I mustered the confidence to reveal my appearance and bring attention to the matter,” she said. “Be cautious with the goods you utilize.”
The most recent Instagram post by Kamei reveals that she appears to have fully recovered.
