Temple of Panchamukha Hanumadeeshwara
The snake gods protect the temple’s entryway, which is embellished with carvings of the trinity of Brahma, Vishnu, and Maheshwara. The temple’s ‘Gopuras’ are a mix of North and South Indian architecture, and the complete structure is built according to Vaastushastra and Agamashastra.
A 16-foot Panchamukha Hanuman deity is artistically sculpted out of black stone, particularly imported from Kanchi, and placed in the sanctum sanctorum. Devotees can also see the Mahashivalinga of Panchamukha Parameswara and perform abhishekam within the complex, which is identical to the Pasupatinath temple in Nepal.
Lord Venkateswara’s and Goddess Lakshmi’s blessings can also be sought here.
Temples of Navagraha
For the first time, the Navagrahas (9 planets), along with the presiding and matching deities, divine consorts, and vahanas, are housed in separate temples. Each temple is painted in the color of the main god and is furnished with the traditional shapes and seats.
On each of the temples, all of the details about which puja to perform for which Graha are clearly and simply explained. Devotees who have negative planetary positions in their horoscopes can have the relevant pujas, homas, and other shanti pujas done here. A facility for performing Navagraha Homa for the removal of evil is also available.
Hanuman-Shiva Panchamukha
Surendrapuri is strange and larger-than-life in every way. When you enter, you are met by two 60-foot-tall statues of Panchamukha Shiva and Panchamukha Hanuman. Both buildings are built back-to-back and add to the rural skyline’s majesty. Vanara, Narasimha, Garuda, Varaha, and Hayagreeva are the five faces of the Panchamukha Hanuman, who wields ten various weapons.
This is a Hanuman protecting avataar with a fascinating backstory. When Ram and Lakshman were kidnapped by Ravan’s brother Mahi Ravan, Hanuman materialized this avataar and freed his masters by killing five bees in which Mahi Ravan’s life was preserved. On the other side, the Panchamukha Shiva statue signifies the Pancha bhootha and Pancha tatwa. Sadyojatha, Vama deva, Aghora, Tatpurusha, and Eeshana are Shiva’s five faces, which he manifested in order to fight several demons.
Nagakoti
A massive 101-foot Shivalinga surrounding by Kaalasarpa, located atop Nagadri Hill, has become a popular venue for worshippers to offer prayers to Nagakoteeswara Swamy.
The temple is said to be so powerful that by receiving pradakshina, one can be free of the effects of the Naga, Kuja, and Kaalasarpa Doshas.
The spectacular and fabulous saptha lokas – the 7th Heaven – 7 celestial worlds such as Bramhalokam, Vishnu Lokam, Siva Lokam, Naga Lokam, Indra Lokam, Yama Lokam, and Paathaala Lokam are awe-inspiring, amazing, and astounding. Dwadasha Jyothirlingas (Linga Radiance) and Ashtadasha Sakthipeetas are always heart-warming.
