This review, in line with INEC’s established practice, aims to assess various aspects of the electoral process.
However, Atiku and Obi contested the election results declared by INEC and have taken their grievances to court.
At the state level, the internal review will include INEC’s regular and ad hoc staff, such as Resident Electoral Commissioners, Electoral Officers, Heads of Departments, Administrative Secretaries, as well as selected Presiding Officers and Collation/Returning Officers.
The review is expected to provide insights for strengthening institutional capacity and enhancing processes and procedures for future elections.
