The candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Hon.
Musa Agah has emerged as the winner of the just concluded Jos North/Bassa Federal house of representatives elections and returned elected.
The returning officer from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Dr.
Oyeyinka Oyeyinde declared Hon.
Agah as the winner with the total of fourty thousand three hundred and forty three votes while his closest rival of the People’s Redemption Party, Adamu Mohammed Alkali pulled a total of thirty-seven thousand seven hundred and fifty seven votes.
Dr.
Oyeyinde said the total number of votes cast is one hundred and eight thousand, one hundred and ten while the total number of rejected votes is one thousand and eighty three votes.
Reacting to the PDP winnings, the former Senate President in a tweet, congratulationed Hon.
Agah and Hon.
Effiom of the Akpabuyo Constituency in Cross River state.
