Kaizer Chiefs Unveils New Coaching Team Led by Nasreddine Nabi in Major Overhaul Ahead of 2024/25 Betway Premiership Season

Kaizer Chiefs are gearing up for the 2024/25 Betway Premiership season with renewed energy and big plans.

The club, which struggled last season and finished 10th on the league table, recently returned from a pre-season tour in Turkey.

In a bold move to change their fortunes, Chiefs have appointed Nasreddine Nabi as their new head coach, along with a new technical team.

Nabi brings with him a fresh perspective and a dedicated team, including assistant coaches Khalil Ben Youssef and Fernando Da Cruz.

The technical lineup also features Ilyes Mzoughi as the goalkeeper coach and Safi Majdi as the conditioning coach.

This new team is expected to bring a revitalized approach to the club.

Nabi takes over from Cavin Johnson, who served as interim coach since October 2023, following the departure of Molefi Ntseki after a brief stint as head coach.

Reflecting on the Previous Season

Last season was a tough one for the Glamour Boys, who managed nine wins, nine draws, and twelve losses.

They ended the season with 36 points, missing out on a top-eight finish.

The team and fans are hopeful that the changes in the coaching staff will lead to better results this season.

Pre-Season Preparations: A Trip to Botswana

As the new season approaches, Kaizer Chiefs are making the most of their pre-season preparations.

Jessica Motaung, the club’s Marketing and Commercial Director, shared that the team will be heading to Botswana for a series of friendly matches.

This trip is part of their efforts to regroup and get ready for the Betway Premiership, which kicks off in September.

Motaung expressed excitement about the new sponsorship deal with Betway and hinted at more exciting announcements and events for the fans.

Looking Forward to the Toyota Cup Clash

Before the league season begins, Chiefs fans can look forward to an exciting Toyota Cup clash against Young Africans SC at Toyota Stadium in Bloemfontein.

The match is set to kick off at 3 pm on Sunday and promises to be an exciting encounter.

Jessica Motaung also shared some advice for other PSL teams about securing sponsorships, underscoring the importance of strong partnerships in the world of football.

The new season is shaping up to be an exciting one for Kaizer Chiefs, with fresh energy and big ambitions.
