Following his breakout season in the Premier Soccer League, Orlando Pirates attacker Kwame Peprah believes he is deserving of a call-up to the Ghana national team (PSL).
The 21 years old was nominated for the PSL Young Player of the Season award after scoring seven goals in 25 appearances
The star striker, however, was left out of Ghana’s 33-man team for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers by Otto Addo.
“Every Ghanaian player’s dream is to join the national team, to work and to support and be able to support his country. Considering my former performances with King Faisal and also this season at Orlando Pirates, I think I have done enough to be handed a call-up,” Kwame Peprah told JoySports.
“As the type of striker that I am, I can play on the left-wing, the right-wing and also as the centre-forward. My aerial duels are very good – that I can say. I think deserving a call-up is not a bad idea.”
“The current players in the [Black Stars] camp all also deserve the call-up so I wish them all the best of luck in the coming games.”
