Man is convicted of cutting his girlfriend and her friend’s necks

Within weeks after being freed from prison, a guy was convicted guilty of slicing the throats of his fiancée and her companion in two separate incidents.

Lee Peacock, 50, who was described as “warped and enraged,” was found guilty of killing Clinton Ashmore, 59, and Sharon Pickles, 46, in separate Westminster assaults over the course of two days.

On August 16, 2021, he murdered Ms. Pickles before concealing her corpse beneath the bed with a duvet.

Peacock then proceeded to Mr. Ashmore’s house and also sliced his neck there.

He alleged Mr. Ashmore was a member of a group that was responsible for using Ms. Pickles as a drug dealer while he was incarcerated.

The Old Bailey was informed that Peacock went on a two-day violent rampage in order to “punish” his girlfriend and her friend.

After a five-day search, police located the self-confessed burglar and robber aboard a houseboat on the Grand Union Canal. He then turned the 4 cm long knife on himself.

Peacock acknowledged murdering the two but said it wasn’t murder. Peacock had just recently been released from jail on June 4th, 2021.

After Peacock admitted to murdering Ms. Pickles, he said that the death of his “other half” was a “pure accident” and that Mr. Ashmore “went crazy” and hit him in the head.

Peacock was found guilty of the double homicide by a jury at the Old Bailey on Tuesday after deliberating for two hours and 20 minutes.

As the judgments were announced, five members of the victims’ families wept and cheered while Peacock remained emotionless.

Only two years after the passing of his wife in 2019, Ms. Pickles’ father, David Pickles, said in a victim impact statement that losing his daughter had a catastrophic impact.

It left him speechless, and he found it difficult to enjoy birthdays or even Christmas since his daughter couldn’t find calm or relaxation.

“I miss Sharon more than words can express,” one person said. “It doesn’t seem true that she’s gone.”

In an earlier statement before the jury, Peacock said, “I know I’m not a monster. I’ve never intended to hurt my spouse. I’m sorry, Clinton, but he was to blame.

He informed me that he had moved in on my girlfriend and had done so while throwing a barrage of blows.
