Mass Protests Erupt in Lagos Against Government’s Fuel Subsidy Decision

Members of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) have taken to the streets of Lagos to voice their dissent against the recent removal of petrol subsidy.

The protesters have gathered at the Ikeja under-bridge and are planning to march throughout the state, with the Governor’s office in Alausa, Ikeja, being one of their key destinations.

The removal of fuel subsidy, in particular, has been a major point of contention for the labour union, prompting them to take action.

While awaiting the outcome of the protests, it remains crucial for all stakeholders to engage in constructive dialogue to address the concerns raised by the labour union effectively.
