In Derbyshire, firefighters are battling a “huge fire” that broke out near a weapons plant.
Last night at 9:12 p.m., the Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service was summoned to the blaze, which developed to involve nine personnel from three counties as the blaze progressed.
The fire broke out at PW Defence in Wilne Mill, Draycott, which describes itself as a UK-based maker of military pyrotechnics.
Residents in the vicinity of the ‘fireworks factory’ have been warned to keep their windows and doors closed due to the fire.
A joint police and fire inquiry is initiated after two workers at a weapons plant are injured by “white phosphorous” as emergency services respond to a fire at a weapons manufacturing.
PW Defence was attended by dozens of emergency service professionals from EMA, Derbyshire Fire, and Derbyshire police in response to an incident that occurred at 21:12 on January 21, 2022.
