Zamanguni Gumede, the mother of the late Big Nuz member Mandlenkosi “Mampintsha” Maphumulo, has gone away.
Gumede, who was hospitalized at the Wentworth Hospital in Durban for a brief illness, passed away on Sunday. Her passing comes after that of Mamphintsha, who died on Christmas Eve.
Gumede was clearly ill at Mampintsha’s memorial service and funeral, and her family had to assist her.
A few weeks after Gumede was hospitalized, her daughter Pinki appealed to the public for assistance in transferring her to a private hospital.
Gumede was diagnosed with a stroke that impacted her liver, as disclosed by Pinki. During Mampintsha’s funeral, Gumede and her daughter-in-law Bongekile “Babes Wodumo” Simelane smoked a peace pipe in public.
