Mumbai: Ahead of civc polls, BMC releases map showing demarcation of ward boundaries

The Mumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has produced a detailed map depicting the demarcation of 236 electoral wards in the city.

The State Election Commission (SEC) has also given BMC permission to hold a public meeting to solicit citizen comments and complaints on ward delimitation.
BMC will accept comments and objections on defined ward borders from the general public from February 1 to February 14.
Following that, on February 16, BMC will tell SEC of the types of proposals and objections received. The BMC has been given till February 26 to hold hearings for members of the public who have submitted recommendations and complaints.
By March 2, the concerned officer of the BMC has been directed to submit the suggestions to the SEC.
