Tragic Discovery: Woman Found Unresponsive at Newport Address
A man has been charged with murder following the discovery of an unresponsive woman in Newport last week.
Gwent Police responded to a call at approximately 11:30 am on Friday, May 12, reporting an unresponsive woman at an address in Sandalwood Court, Newport.
Victim Identified as Kelly Pitt, Family Pays Tribute
The Welsh Ambulance Service confirmed the tragic news that a 44-year-old woman, Kelly Pitt, had passed away.
Her family released a heartfelt tribute describing her as an “all-round beautiful soul” and a cherished granddaughter, daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother.
Arrest and Charge of 25-Year-Old Man
Following the incident, a 25-year-old man from Newport was arrested on suspicion of murder.
Gwent Police has confirmed that he has now been charged with this offense and is remanded to appear at Newport Magistrates Court.

Gwent Police have urged anyone with information that could assist in the investigation to come forward.
