Something is being loaded.

Chris Hemsworth stated that Natalie Portman was apprehensive about the return of her character Jane Foster to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

“This was a totally different approach for the character, and I had genuine doubts about whether or not it was appropriate. The transition from this to that…’” Hemsworth stated this in the most recent chapter of Marvel’s behind-the-scenes documentary, “Assembled,” which was released on Disney+ on Thursday.

He proceeded: “And we simply stated, “That is irrelevant.” This is what occurred during ‘Ragnarok.’ Who cares about anything we’ve done in the past? Consequently, it was a rebirth or a new investigation of the character, and she was game.”

In 2011, Portman debuted as the astrophysicist in the first standalone “Thor” film. She returned in the 2013 sequel, but did not appear in “Thor: Ragnarok” in 2017.

Jane was referenced for the last time in “Avengers: Endgame” (2019) when Thor disclosed that they had broken up at some point.

In “Love and Thunder,” it was revealed that Jane had stage 4 cancer upon her return. After science failed her, she called upon the strength of Mjolnir, Thor’s hammer, and assumed the guise of Mighty Thor.

Using a flashback montage, “Love and Thunder” clarified some of the ambiguities and uncertainties around Jane and Thor’s relationship.

The film “Thor: The Dark World” stars Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Natalie Portman as Jane.

For the fourth movie of the “Thor” franchise, the studio requested that Portman train and bulk up as much as possible. In addition to weightlifting and cardiovascular exercise, she consumes an abundance of protein drinks.

Portman stated in the documentary, “Despite having appeared in numerous action films, I had never done any genuine battle training.” She was so thrilled to be granted the opportunity to bulk up for the picture.

“It was a lot of pleasure to train to be strong for the first time in my life,” she continued. “As women, we typically train to get as petite as possible. Therefore, it is great to be actively striving towards becoming larger.”
