Netflix’s “Supersex” is filming Rocco Siffredi’s life in Rome

Rocco Siffredi’s life is the focus of a new Netflix original series called “Supersex,” which has begun filming in Rome.

The seven-episode drama liberally draws inspiration from Siffredi’s actual life, who has produced more over 1 500 hardcore movies.

However, in an intriguing career turn, Siffredi has also directed the arthouse films “Romance” and “Anatomy of Hell” by Catherine Breillat. His Rocco Siffredi Prods, with offices in Budapest, is a titan in the porn business.

Siffredi was also the focus of the 2016 Venice Film Festival documentary “Rocco,” which was helmed by the French team of Thierry Demaiziere and Alban Teurlai.

Unknown facets of the Italian porn star, who is portrayed by Italian A-lister Alessandro Borghi (“The Eight Mountains”), are at the center of “Supersex,” which is being produced by The Apartment, a Fremantle business, and Groenlandia, a firm that is a member of the Banijay group.

Francesca Manieri, a well-known Italian screenwriter and well-known militant feminist (“We Are Who We Are,” “L’Immensit”), is the series’ creator and author.

According to a release from Netflix, it is “a meaningful narrative that goes through his life from boyhood.”

Siffredi’s family, his upbringing, his connection with love, and “the beginning and the background that prompted him to go on his journey in pornography” would all be examined in “Supersex,” it was noted.

Matteo Rovere, Francesco Carrozzini, and Francesca Mazzoleni are “Supersexdirectors. “‘s

Along with Borghi, the cast is completed by Jasmine Trinca, Adriano Giannini, and Saul Nanni, who play Lucia, Tommaso, and Rocco as a young man, respectively.

Manieri remarked: “‘Supersex’ is the tale of a guy who needs seven episodes and 350 minutes to confess his love and realize that the devil living inside of him is compatible with romantic love.

He must reveal his soul, the single aspect of him that we have never seen, in order to do this. “Supersex” discusses the current and us as a whole. What does being a man entail? Can we still reconcile affectivity and sexuality?

These are the questions that, like a kaleidoscope, appear before us when we get so engrossed in his extraordinary existence that we can no longer breathe.

In 2023, the program is anticipated to launch internationally on Netflix.
