New footage shows a felon attacking an officer in Willoughby, Ohio.

A frightening new video shows an aggressive criminal assaulting a police officer on Saturday in Willoughby, Ohio.

You can hear one of the good Samaritans urging the rowdy suspect, “You don’t do that to a lady,” as the mob closes in on him.

On September 10 in the neighbourhood of Willoughby, Cleveland, Officer Stacee Wright, 30, pulled over the suspect, David Koubeck, 64, for speeding.

The footage shows Wright exiting the car without authorization, and Koubeck promptly dismissing him, telling him to go to the rear of the car to collect his driver’s licence.

When Koubeck was stopped, he was operating a 2009 black Chevrolet Malibu.

David Koubeck, the culprit in the incident, subsequently admitted to investigators that he had a “poor day.”

Wright then calls for assistance and reports that the suspect has abandoned his vehicle. Koubeck refuses to heed Wright’s command to sit on the curb. I’m not sitting, he shouts. I’m standing up!

Koubeck ignores yet another order to put his hands on the vehicle and continues to yell at Wright.

The suspect shoved Wright while putting his finger in her face and disobeying her requests to move back.

The two then got into a physical altercation, with Koubeck seemingly winning after catching Wright off guard.

Four good Samaritans emerge out of nowhere to help Wright and swiftly take down Koubeck.

In the footage, Koubeck can be heard being told: “You don’t do that to a lady.” Do you get what I’m saying?

Another cop quickly arrived and assisted in capturing Koubeck when the gang became engaged.

Wright was brought to the Lake West Medical Center at University Hospital to get treatment for minor wounds.

When asked about the incident by WKYC, Willoughby Det. Sgt. Michael Sevel said: “His demeanour was violent towards her, he disobeyed many instructions from her, all of these are red flags.”

We’re grateful that it ended the way it did because things might have gone far worse, he added.

Sevel said, “It simply makes us really pleased to work for Willoughby, where there are wonderful individuals ready to risk their safety.”

They may have put their lives in danger by assisting the officer since they had no clue what they were getting themselves into.

The Lake County Herald News reports that Koubeck eventually admitted to officials that he had been “having a rough day.” He said he didn’t hit the Wright and that he was only attempting to follow orders, adding that he never intended to damage her.

Willoughby Police Chief Jim Schultz praised people who provided assistance in a Facebook post and urged anyone who had stopped over to come forward.

I would want to personally thank a number of amazing Samaritans and our lovely community for their prompt action and support,” the chief added.

I am very proud of our community and the amazing support we get every day, he said. Another fantastic instance happened on Saturday. I’m very grateful for it! Thanks a lot.

Chief Schultz described the officer who was assaulted as “a fighter” and “extremely excellent at her job” in an interview with the Lake County News-Herald.

She would have handled the problem, he said, but it may have been worse if no one intervened.

In response to the Facebook post, Schultz claimed that the four guys who assisted had come forward and that none of them desired anonymity.

They are pretty private individuals, and they essentially said that they stopped because it was the moral thing to do, he claimed.

Koubeck has been charged as a consequence of the incident with assault on an officer, resisting arrest, speeding, and failing to use a seatbelt. On September 22, he will show up in court.
